1 Year later after losing 40 pounds and 12 dress sizes … She’s Keeping Weight off after Weight Loss!!

My 1st Anniversary of becoming a Star Profile…My Journey to Wellness continues.

As I look back over the past year, I realize that not only have I become physically stronger, but mentally & emotionally too!

I have kept the weight off and feel great! I am still as dedicated to staying fit and becoming stronger today, as I was when I started my journey 20 months ago.

I credit my trainer, Alex Wilson, for continuing to motivate and challenge me with new routines and higher expectations.

There are still some days when I come to BBD to train, when I’m not feeling that great. Sometimes the pain in my lower back returns or a migraine strikes, but I force myself to go to the gym. I know Alex will adjust my routine to accommodate what ever ails me and that by the end my session most of the pain will be gone.  The one thing I did stop doing for a long time was logging what I ate into Fat Secret.

I thought that I could monitor my intake on my own, and I did for quite awhile. I even managed to lose a few more pounds!

Unfortunately, during my summer holidays, those pounds came back. Even though I workout 2-3 times a week, I have not been able to lose them. Alex was finally able to convince me to start logging my intake again. I should have listen to him months ago, because the numbers on the scale are finally heading in the right direction! I continue to train at least once a week with Alex, plus come in on Saturdays and work out on my own along side my teenage daughter as she trains with him. I enjoy coming to BBD, and look forward to my sessions with Alex.

He is a dedicated trainer who has helped me become a “better me”.

I can’t wait to see what we will have achieved together in a year from now!   Laura C. October 20, 2014
