Sally lost 10 lbs after starting the GRIP Personal Training program and her fitness addiction began!
Four years ago at the age of 43 I was a size 11, I was 50 pounds overweight and I knew that something had to change. So that’s when my weight loss journey began. With a lot of hard work, I managed to lose that 50 pounds, but then unfortunately gained back some of it. I stopped exercising and eating properly and the number on the scale kept climbing. I felt sluggish, tired and unhappy with myself. I knew I could do better but I just couldn’t get the motivation back. I was surfing the Internet one day and saw Bodies By Design’s website and really liked it. I filled out the consultation questionnaire and received an email from Kris Simpson shortly after. Excellent first impression.
I came to BBD at 130 pounds with goals of losing 10 pounds, toning and shaping my body, and just being a healthier me in body and mind. I got into the program with my 2 personal trainers (Alek and Alex), 2 times a week and started seeing results. When you see results the fitness addiction begins and personal training at BBD makes you accountable. That’s a good thing! Once I started training and eating right, not only did I see physical changes, I also noticed changes in my energy levels and mental state.
My accomplishment so far, in addition to losing weight, includes getting back my self confidence and feeling good in my clothes again. But most of all it’s been inspiring others to reach their goals, whether big or small. There are more goals I want to attain on this journey. I can’t wait to see what transpires. My reward from this experience so far is feeling good about myself, knowing I have improved my life and motivating others to do the same. This is a lifestyle change but one that has made me a much happier person.
