What is your education /training /sports background?

I grew up playing soccer. I was involved in school sports like volleyball, basketball and track and field. Afterward, I transitioned into MMA – including Judo, Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai and Kickboxing. After I had my son I had kept some of the weight on, I wasn’t happy with my body, so it was time to do something about it. So I went and got a gym membership. My roommate at the time was a bodybuilder, I went from zero to training six days a week following her program.

Moreover, I fell in love with it. So I started learning as much as I could about exercise and nutrition.

My dedication and commitment were evident, and the manager of the gym is the one who approached me and asked if I would be interested in becoming a personal trainer. So I got certified; afterward, I also completed my Kickboxing Instructor training as well. Since then I’ve been sharing my passion and helping others achieve their goals as well. It’s insane how much our bodies are capable of; I love pushing my limits and always finding new ways to challenge myself. Nothing beats the feeling of mastering something you once thought was impossible.

Why did you want to become a personal trainer?

Some people need someone there to make them do the things they don’t want to do – so that they can become whom they’ve always wanted to be. No one is going to be motivated all the time; it takes discipline. I’ve been there; now I’m helping others do the same.
Why do some clients fail and other clients succeed – what is the secret?
It comes down to discipline. How bad do you want it? More than that pizza? More than lazy days on the couch? You have to be stronger than your excuses.

Why does the BBD program work?

The BBD program works because we hold our clients accountable to themselves. We have weekly assessments throughout their entire fitness journey to ensure we keep them on track with their goals. We only have 55 minutes with them, so we aim to burn an optimal amount of calories each session.
