I have been waiting for the right moment to teach my new curriculum, and I think for two distinct reasons – now is the perfect time.
With the current covid crisis, we’ve all been stretched to our ends, some financially, some emotionally, or most likely, both.
Secondly, everyone loves a good comeback story.
I think what has affected us most through this crisis is the high levels of uncertainty and the corresponding emotions it has evoked: doubt, worry, depression, anxiety, discouragement, disheartening, etc.
These are all fear-based emotions and the natural response to our current situation, but I’m sure you have seen what this reaction can do to our health and well-being.
We all have a critical and challenging transition in the coming months. I don’t need to tell you that there’s going to be a long road of financial and emotional recovery ahead of us, and the only way that we’re going to feel motivated and inspired for this trek is if we get FIT in both body and mind.
What I’ve learned through my recoveries and comebacks (yes, this isn’t my first rodeo), is that it’s our fears, our doubts, worries, and concerns that drain us of energy but paradoxically, it is also our F.E.A.R.S. where we can find and cultivate energy.
F.E.A.R.S. is an acronym for something I call the 5 facets of lifestyle, and it stands for Food, Emotions, Activity, Relaxing, and Sleep.
As the author Brendon Burchard said, “the power plant doesn’t have energy, it creates it.”
So it’s is our lifestyle, our or way of living, which will determine how much energy we will have – and how much we stand to lose.
And as a good friend once told me when I was making a comeback, “you need to train HARD and GET STRONGER THAN EVER” – body, mind and spirit.
So, I’ve decided to offer something I never done before for our community. Once per week I will be running a live and virtual high-performance lifestyle training through Zoom – and all for free, just my way of doing what I love to do, inspiring others to aspire, and helping out members of our community with a personal touch.
Each week we tackle one of the five lifestyle facets as we learn, engage and grow stronger TOGETHER – week by week.
We level up our eating, our emotional intelligence, learn different ways to move our bodies, while also remembering to make time for ourselves and get the sleep we need to strengthen our resilience.
And since it’s live on Zoom, you can ask me questions that pertain to your life and I can help you individually.
As a group, each week we motivate each other to become the strongest we can be, encouraging and cheering each other along the way.
