The burpee was invented by a man named Royal H. Burpee! He was a PhD candidate in applied physiology and was also working as a Director of the YMCA in NYC. He coined the term burpee and used it as a way to evaluate one’s fitness level.
Burpees are one of the best total body exercises for increasing your stamina, endurance, agility, flexibility along with burning a ton of calories and losing weight if that’s your game.
Now we’re going to show you how to do burpees – step by step for beginners:
Step 1: Walk out
Step 2: Walk out to plank
Step 3: Walk out to plank then a push up
Step 4: Frog jumps to plank then a push up
Step 5: Full burpee with jump
