Mat and Shanon from Bodies by Design with your next GRIP – Tip!
Mat here with Shanon from Bodies By Design! Today, we’ll be introducing the GRIP Tip which will help with your total body core training. The exercise device that we’ll be using is the TRX. This is one of my favorite exercises because it moves a lot so it allows you to move a lot to stabilize your core, focuses a lot on your core. Today, Shannon will be performing on a TRX core starting with the TRX mountain climber. Notice how she’s driving the knees to her chest keeping her core nice and stable trying to balance on her hands. It’s not an easy exercise because the TRX is moving so much. Next exercise we’re going to do it a plank-up. Starting from her hands she’s going to drop down to her elbows. Again, notice how the TRX is moving. Shanon has to really stabilize that core, keep her core nice and tight. This is a little bit more advanced exercise. For the next exercise, again, we’re going to do a knee tuck. Again, Shannon will be stabilizing that core, keeping her body nice and tight, driving those knees to her elbows. You really feel it in the end, it really starts to burn. For the last exercise we will be doing a TRX pike, a little bit more advanced exercise. You need to squeeze your core as you come up, very slow back down. For the last one, we’re going to do a bend double knee tuck, two knees to one elbow, driving that knee, two knees then alternating with one. That was your GRIP tip.
