Nat, a Bodies By Design Trainer, demonstrates the Glider Workout for Core and Lower body with a 5-exercise circuit that can be done at home in 5 minutes!
Hi, I’m Nat from Bodies by Design. Today I will be demonstrating the Glider Workout using a small circuit of five exercises that mainly incorporates lower body and core exercises. This is a great and quick way to work lower body and core at the same time all in a 5-minute circuit that will burn where it counts! If you do not have a set of gliders at home, you can use something that every household has, whether it be sheets of paper or towels. The first of five exercises I will be showing you is the mountain climber. The mountain climber is mainly lower body and core exercise and you’ll be using mainly using your quads, hamstrings and glutes. As you alternate pumping both legs, you’re using mainly your core.
The second exercise is called a knee tuck, which uses mainly your quads, hamstrings and your glutes on the outward motion, and a lot of the core area on the inward movement.
The third exercise is called around the world. Now, instead of using hamstrings and quads, you’ll be using a lot of your inner and outer thighs, as well as your core and glutes. Once again, it’s a very effective lower body exercise that’s activating your core as well.
The fourth exercise is called a stationary lunge. Now we’re putting a lot more focus on the front leg, using a lot more of the quad, the hamstring, and the glutes and a little bit of the core as well.
The fifth exercise is called a side squat. This exercise is focused mainly on one side of the body. This one again uses your quad, hamstring, and glutes with a lot more focus on core.
I’m Nat from Bodies by Design and that’s your GRIP Tip. Now make sure you Get a GRIP on your Glider!
