Negative Calories — what! Is there such a thing?
The first time I heard about negative calorie foods I thought I was dreaming. It couldn’t possibly be true. I had to learn more.
Simply put, “negative calories” refers to food that the body takes more calories (energy) to digest than the calories it delivers. Research says because of this deficit these foods can essentially be consumed in unlimited quantities without gaining weight. Sweet!
Unfortunately, chocolate or pasta or pizza are not negative calorie foods, but the most common include: celery, lettuce, kelp noodles, cucumbers, mushrooms, grapefruit. Actually the list is long. It’s promising.
Check out this website to learn more about negative calories and how you can incorporate this food group into your lifestyle to eat healthy, feel full and lose or maintain your weight.
Until the next time. Keep @ it!
