Does Spinning Cause Big Thighs?
I think over a long period of time there could be some muscle gain in your thighs through aggressive and repetitive spinning. If you look at most competitive cyclists, my point will be proven. Cycling, as well as spinning, can place high resistance levels on your thighs. In spinning you control the resistance, therefore my conclusion is you’re not using high resistance and you’re not spinning repetitively, your chances of increasing the size of your thighs is very limited.
Are Sitting or Standing Exercises Better For Me?
We Canadians only stand for a few hours a day on the average. Think about it — most of us sit at work, sit at home and sleep horizontal (although I did find myself hanging from the ceiling one morning…) With that said, we need to get upright when we are exercising as this is our natural form and will yield the best results with strengthening, improving posture and burning calories. Case and point, we need to get off our butts!
